Hi hopefully someone can help me
I had my dpf cleaned all put together, but problem is now when it regents it takes so long it’s unbelievable. Also when I’m stationary the regen stops, where before it kept regen to a certain point.
Any ideas.

How many times has this happened?
On a recent trip to France mine did exactly this. A regen for well over 60 miles. Stopped and turned engine off, no fan, no smell, no indication of a regen. Set off and it went into regen symptoms again (high tick over revs, shit running etc). Stopped again, no fan etc etc.
Next day drove fine, did a proper regen that was completed in 12 miles and has been fine ever since, doing a proper regen about every 200-250 miles.
Maybe you’ve just got the same glitch that I had.

I feel mine is the same, I have had dpf cleaned new egr. It all started after dpf cleaned and new egr.
The honest truth is you mentioned about the fan and it seems the fan before you can hear and now I can’t. There is a bank 1 sensor 2 also changed that but same code for exhaust gas temperature. Don’t know what to do.
But coming back to your point it seems the same problem as yours

By any chance you had air conditioner on? When conditions get warm enough the AC requests engine to run at elevated revs on tick over to keep up with cooling demand.

Yeah I did, was 35 degrees so air con was working hard. But it was also running crap like it was doing a regen. Also, most of the road trip through France was similar temps and I never turn my air con off, but I only had this issue the once.
The next day, it did a proper regen (I know this because I thought it was another false one so stopped and turned the engine off, got out and the fan was going full wallop and I could smell the regen-doh) which it completed and was fine after that.
It was as though it had got stuck in some sort of regen loop without actually doing a regen if that make sense.
I did have vcds with me, but because it sorted itself the next day I didn’t bother with a scan.
