Check your intercooler pipe connections to ensure they are correctly located. The VW technician should have done this but check them just in case they didn't. Good luck.

You're in a much better position now. How did you get it going? I don't think locks are known to fail. However, have you put any insulation in the doors? The previous owner put Rockwool in mine and it played havoc with the latch mechanism.

Thanks for your reply mukka, i will grab a clip when i pull on the drive later on, it only happens when the engine is warm. There are no smells that im aware of

can you get a video clip of it on your phone? - drop a link to your gallery or post it on youtube? rear EGR pipe maybe? - are you getting exhaust smells?
