Hi, I’ve just fitted a new slidingdoor bottom roller to my T6 transporter. It seems to work fine until you fully open the door and then then one of the two rollers facing up catches a piece of metal bodywork just before the sprung latch at the back ( I hope this makes sense). This causes the...
Hi all, looking for some advice.
I have an issue with the slidingdoor bottom roller guide / channel holding water when the door is closed. If I open the slidingdoor after any rain or wash then quiet a lot of water runs out. It is also casing the channel to rush.
I replaced the slidingdoor...
Hello knowledgeable people,
The off-side rear slidingdoor was catching on the bottom about a foot from fully closed. I had a look and the little wheel/roller on the mechanism wasn't rolling. Next thing a ball bearing or 3 rolled down the van and the wheel has pinged off!
Can anyone help me...
Hello!
We have a 2017 T6 Transporter and the VW Extended Warranty. The SlidingDoor Roller guide hinge (bottom) has failed - the little white plastic wheel has disintegrated, but apart from that there seems to be no other damage.
We called a couple of local VW dealers to check whether this...
I have an issue with slidingdoor rear bottom sticking out more than it should. Tried to play with adjusting rollers but getting nowhere. Any advice is welcome.

Hi everyone,
I recently replaced the rollers and wires for the slidingdoors on my 2013 T5 VW Multivan. While the repair worked perfectly on the right side, I'm having trouble with the left slidingdoor.
When I try to open the door using either the dashboard button or the key fob, it starts to...
Has anyone kept their old bottom door roller thingy,
I have managed to repair mine with a new roller. Also, it will make it much easier to change the roller next time it fails
Much better than the cheap copies you can get!
I just got replacement rollers from my local store and machined them to...
Hi All, had a browse but couldn't see what I was looking for...
My other half opened the slidingdoor and let it go when parked on a slope, and when the door got to the end of the runner made a fairly not-OK sound.
It still opens and closes as it should, but the door moves in and out from the...
Hi! The bottom roller bracket (off side) collapsed so I carefully closed the door and got great advice from the forum as to what I needed to buy. Now, the door will not open! It unlocks but won't budge. It is also carpeted.
Any advice as to how to solve the issue will be gratefully received...
Afternoon all,
Has anyone replaced the slidingdoor mechanism on their 2018 T6? I've ordered one of ebay and despite it saying 2018 it doesn't fit or work at all. Can anyone recommend one from ebay/amazon that will arrive asap?
This is similar to the one the guy off ebay sent me:
SlidingDoor...
Hi all,
I am the new owner of a 2019 T6 and I have noticed that a lot of rust has formed in the slidingdoor channels (see picture). It also makes the door open rather rough. I did not notice this when buying the van, nor did I expect it after 5 years.
Now I have been searching on this forum...
Hi Folks,
Whilst away recently our auto-opening / closing door decided to stop working. Basically when closing there was a horrible sound and bits fell down from the upper roller bracket.
Just wanted to know if anyone has used this kit of parts to repair, rather than forking out £150 + the...
Tried some WD40 on lower & middle rollers and slidingdoor back & forth a few times , seems to have loosened a bit. Will look at changing rollers when weather is a bit more pleasant for outdoor maintenance!
You need to lift it to slide it open. With no roller it will just be the metal bar on the inside of the van floor with all the weight of the door on it. That’s what I had to do. Be very careful putting all that weight through the door handle though.
So assuming the door slid open.
The door will make quite a noise when it hits the stops (large rubber bumper attached to the door )
Similarly the lower clip / release Mech hits a roller (lower C pillar)
The top roller also hits a foam inset (upper C pillar)
it can make quite a noise when the...

Just changed mine with this one standard left door on kombi bottom roller
Further update to my previous post! The bottom roller has now completely broke, I was sliding the door on Sunday night, noticed the roller was sticking, applied a serious amount of spray grease, for it to basically explode with tiny ball bearings going everywhere.
Booked in to VW this Friday, I...
