I had problems with the touch screen.. top right corner was dead.. hence the new digitizer.. followed this video on YouTube to fit it.. App Connect software was purchased via eBay.. so far so good.. cheaper than a new head unit

Thanks for that, I've tried it with engine running, and with a mains battery charger connected to the starter battery to ensure the Ablemail charger is active. Getting a bluetooth connection isn't the issue. The suggestion from Ablemail is that it is an incompatibility with the latest version...
