I left it very late to reserch!

Nothing wrong with a CFCA engine IF it’s had a Tafmet emulator kit installed before the EGR started to disintegrate. The only reliable non invasive way to check the condition of the engine is an oil analysis and for that you will need accurate input data.

    Manually Start A Regen

The regen’s on my Euro 5 CFCA only last 6 minutes at 70MPH, just under 2000 RPM, the MS DPF Control is a great monitor / control device.

You do right. I’ve just had to look up CFCA T6. I know fek all about vans. Something I’m pretty relaxed about. I use mine for carting my V4S up and down to euro gigs. Do I get all dewy eyed about a slammed split screen? Err, no. Soz… And it’s brown. Brown ffs… 🤣

I left it very late to reserch!

I bought my t6 with a cfca engine. I didn't realise the issues with cfca until after purchase, mine had 26k on when purchased, blanked the egr at 28k and 60k now without any issues or any oil usage.....everything i have read some don't seem affected and some destroy themselves in 30k......oil...

This one is testing my patience and bank balance, please help.

...my bank account. Long story short (I promise this is the short version) I bought my first Transporter, but didn’t do my homework and got the CFCA BiTurbo. 🤦🏻‍♂️ 24 hours after I bought it the smoking started but the seller wanted nothing to do with it and fobbed me off. It was using...

Hello from Australia AXE , BPC and CFCA owner

...engine. It still goes but requires a lot of things done so I am shortly going to retire it. I already purchased a really nice 2010 T5 LWB CFCA Auto 5 seater with quite low km for the right price. Its got a buggered engine. The guy I purchased it from just spent a whole lot of money on...

    P0101 00 [237] - Implausible Signal

My 2016 CFCA OEM intercooler doesn’t have any steel straps in the design I’m glad to say. Looks like there are some variations.

    Euro 5 engine.

I have a problem free Euro 5 2016 CFCA, it’s not just the adblue issues that complicate matters. Plastic components like charge cooler and crankshaft seal housing are complete madness from the point of long term longevity.

I left it very late to reserch!

Ok so I've been to see it, its immaculate really good service history. Its got the D cooler for the egr but has the CFCA engine. The owner doesnt recall the coller being changed. I think rhats the right thing i was looking at. What to do!

    180 CFCA running hot

Hi all, long time lurker on this forum. Thanks for all the valuable info. I've got a 2017 model T6 Transporter with the 180 CFCA engine. It's heavily modified for overlanding in Africa - exterior, interior as well as under the bonnet. About 18 months ago I suddenly noticed a sharp increase in...

    Oil pump brands

...and do a Plasti-gauge clearance check. I just had a look at Autodoc, really surprised to see so many pattern part oil pump options. EDIT: for my CFCA Pierburg is an option, they may well make the OEM, maybe there is a Pierburg mark on yours? For those with engines with balancer shafts like my...

    Buying advice. 2023 BiTDI.

Correct an easy and cheap fix. Many things on the CFCA are better engineered than the later BiTurbos, it has aluminium crank seal housings for a start and an air cooled charge cooler instead of the overhead sprinkler system that’s been created with the water cooled charge cooler on the later models.

    - 204ps Bi-Turbo CXEB T6 Engine & Turbo problems -

...single turbo CXEB have the same piston rings problems of the bi turbo? As I thought i would look for the single turbo instead BUT they are CXEB too (at that age). Thanks (& does that mean all 2014=15 vans are CFCA? & Not just the biturbo's. I thought single turbo was the way to go (now confused)
