Hi
I have a MAN TGE 177bhp Fwd biturbo 2020 DAVA engine.
I had the turbos fail on the van and got both replaced.
Then it drove perfectly find but a bit underpowered for when it’s fully loaded.
So I got a remap and the underpowered issue is gone but I get the same p0299 turbocharger A under...
To be honest guys I never knew this. Thought that 7.4L is the standard throughout. I put this question to Gemini AI and this is the explanation:
The 6.4-litre capacity is absolutely correct for your specific vehicle based on the technical data and the identification sticker you provided (4BH)...
As the crank sensor pick up is in the rear main seal have I messed up aligning the seal? Should the centre of the oilseal align with the blind hole on the crank end rather than 180' opposite?
...right drive shaft:
A lot of play where the shaft enters the differential. It also seems to sweat some oil and some of the plastic broke off. I assume this is not normal at all? Could this cause my vibrations? I would need to replace the drive shaft, stub and some kind of oilseal I guess?
Yeah deffo get the crank oilseal done for the extra few quid. It's a no brainer as that job alone is the whole of the timing belt job again just to get to it. But......ask them how long they warrant that crank seal as some on here have had them fail prematurely after theyve been replaced. As...
Yeah black oil a bit round #1 and. Touch more round#2 it does have a bit of an injector tick when it’s cold but when it warms it disappears. I checked values on VCDS nothing looked out of the ordinary.
Hi,
I've just taken receipt of a new to me T6. 2019, 42K with a service history. I'm expecting it do some regular trips to Europe over the next couple of years so want to get her where I want her service wise.
So other than oil and filter change, I'm going to do the cam belt and water pump with...
2019 vw transporter 2.0 tdi, suddenly, whilst in 3rd gear, it revved to the red line uncontrollably whilst coming off a roundabout. I quickly switched it off and waited a few minutes and it started and ran ok and got me the couple of minutes to home …carefully, it sounded and acted normal again...
Thanks for the reply. Yes I did tackle it and you can't get the dust seal off without lowering the final drive box. To be honest, upon closer inspection it wasn't leaking oil anyway so all is good and no movement in the stub shaft. Yeah any photos would be much appreciated
Hi all,
Getting crank shaft outer seal replacement as leaking oil onto belts. I was told that I need to replace timing belt & tensioner. The problem I have is that I had the timing belt & tensioner replaced two years ago & have only done 2000 miles. Is this justified or am I being ripped off...
OMG. This is new. Exposed to the air?
I have a 22 L thank of Adblue under my van. It may last a couple of years if I never top it up. It doesn't look particularly hi-tech. Just a plastic tank with a blue plastic cap. Quite sure the tank is breathable, not sealed. Means exposed to the air...
...end of August (first date they can fit a full day in) for a full service, investigate/fix oil round drive shaft, sort leaking crank pulley oilseal and do a (not needed) cam belt and water pump replacement and investigate intermittent coil light/replace oil pressure switches as necessary.
Not...
Update
The Shuttle was not restarting when stopped (stop/start) at junctions etc. Also the engine light came on permanently and engine service indicator came on prematurely around 3000 miles early.
The cause, leaky seal on the EGR valve which allowed crap and oil? in and basically filled that...
That’s how they generate income.
I did two free jobs for friends yesterday;
Car; electric power steering failure, diagnosed by garage as needed a new power steering unit - needed a new battery after they had previously slackened the battery negative terminal.
Oil fired domestic boiler; diagnosed...
I removed a little over 2.9 litres from my T6, 6 Speed gearbox today & refilled via the neutral position sensor had to do it regardless as my passenger side driveshaft seal was weeping, the colour of the oil was horrendous and smelt very burnt.
Just been reading some other peoples disappointments with the crank shaft seals leaking. Been too VW dealership to have my final service plan service carried out today. Bearing in mind my vehicle hasn’t long gone out of warranty coming up to four years old being told my t6 is also leaking oil on...
