Crank shaft outer seal replacement

Hi all,
Getting crank shaft outer seal replacement as leaking oil onto belts. I was told that I need to replace timing belt & tensioner. The problem I have is that I had the timing belt & tensioner replaced two years ago & have only done 2000 miles. Is this justified or am I being ripped off. Comments welcomed
Thanks Dave

If there is oil on the timing belt then yes it should be replaced as oil will cause damage to the rubber belt. If the belt fails there is a good chance it will damage the engine and requiring an engine rebuild. So in my opinion not worth risking not changing it, (cost of the belt change against engine rebuild cost).

The tensioner and idlers should be OK to re-use. The belt is probably also OK to re-use IF it’s not contaminated with oil and it is refitted in the same orientation it was removed.
For the cost of a belt I would replace it.
