What’s the change for, is it two stage to get the inlet gases even cooler or variable gas flow rate?

The water cooled charge cooler is not a common issue with it leaking. The egr valves are known to block and some can leak coolant.

Start point would be to check egr for signs of water inside and replace if found.

...So my warranty time is well and truly done. But I can safely say that the All-in package I had on both vans was well worth it, and I claimed for everything. It saved me £kkkkkkks. Engine, Dsg gearbox. Egrs, Dmfs Egr pipes, Fan blower resistor, Battery, Rear door lock. And the list goes on.

CFCA is very reliable if the Tafmet kit was installed early in the EGRs life, some components are much better engineered than the later engines.

any news ? I have exactly same problem, EGR + oil fault code EGR is 3 month old, intake is new, work like a charm before that issue 2 oil pressure sensor + oil regulator valve replaced same issue fault come after 2 or 3 weeks (after reset it)

Seems getting any decent parts is tricky! Alternator was main dealer supply only, decent EGR was main dealer only and looks like I’ll be going again for driveshaft.

Are you sure you don’t have a leaking EGR pipe?

ECU most likely would throw a fault code if the EGR valve couldn't follow commanded value. Unless the fault code had been blanked out. In the blockmap files the EGR was recirculating exhaust gases (non-zero values) Correct. No, CXEB engine has only one EGR (the high-pressure one).

Check for cam & crank signal.... Timing belt changed.. so it's it in time? Do you get rpm signals? Why was water in EGR?... Leaky cooler?

You do know that you can’t just blank of the EGR and that’s all. It has to be mapped out otherwise you’ll get a dash light. EDIT: Isn’t that a Bosch ECU which can’t be mapped?
