EVening all,

looking for advice, i am swapping over my passenger seat for a new one and need to remove the wire in the top right of this picture that goes into the hole.

What is the wire for? Anyone know where it goes / is connected to?

No it's not, i was thinking it could be to do with some kind of pressure monitoring for the seatbelt or something?

It's exactly that fella it is the seat pad occupied confirmation. So once this is activated the dash light comes on asking for the seatbelt to be fastened. Nobody sat there. No seatbelt message. I just unplugged it all when I fitted my slide and swivel base. Only to find out at a later date that the airbags in the dash won't deploy if the van thinks nobody is sat in that seat.

How did you discover that?

An accident and It didn't deploy?

Or general knowledge from somewhere else.

This forum fella. No crash. It gets more complex as on a t6.1 the seatbelts are coded so you have to keep the originals for the car and attach then to your new seats. Well you definitely do on the drivers seat not 100% sure with passenger as i haven't tried that yet. Maybe someone else can confirm

Follow the wires down there’s a connector. It will be occupancy sensor
