Will primer stay on glass?

spoke to camper glass to see if i could change my rear quarter panel glass for a black out/fake unit as i have a white van

they messaged me to say i can apply primer to the back side of glass and this will then act like a fake panel and save me returning/swapping

will the primer stay on glass in the long run?

Our converter put a piece of black vinyl wrap on the van body before fitting the dummy glass. Works perfectly.

Like above, I would just put vinyl wrap on the inside like you would with tint

i did think about vinyl wrap but i heard it can come off anywhere between 2-7 years and dont fancy having to remove the window due to a peeling, falling Vinyl
