Whistling at low speeds

Got an intermittent issue with a high pitched whistling noise from the front end that I’ve noticed at low speeds recently.
it stops when I press the brakes & once it starts, turning the steering wheel to the left kicks it off again.
Anyone experienced the same thing?

My guess, and that's all it can be without seeing the van, is power steering pump. Of course I may be totally wrong.
Check the level of power steering fluid.

@cgw - you didn't have a passenger called Roger Whittaker onboard by any chance when you first heard the whistling noise?

Cgw did you figure it out? Ours has just started doing the same thing!

It was the caliper on the RHS front brake.
Had to get both the disks replaced as well

Had this on the rear calliper. The sliders for keeping the calliper central over the disk are prone to drying out and seizing.
