Which Air awning?

What sort of price would you pay for a used galli 3 ? There seem a couple about but I’m not sure what’s a good price and what’s not as they all seem expensive to me!
I bought mine nearly 2 years ago and think the prices will be quite different now. The condition etc will vary so will just come down to how much you are saving from a new one v how ‘used’ any used one is

That’s true, it’s madness how prices are all over the pace

I saw the one above, it’s the older version though? I’m not sure what the difference is ….. and it’s a bit of a drive from me as well!

Has anyone used the

OLPRO Cocoon Breeze Inflatable Campervan Awning?

Itseems add good chunk cheaper?

We recently got a Vango Sunlight Air low version. We use this via the kador profile in a Thule Omnistor 4200 on a LWB.

We were looking for a quick and easy solution to have a rainproof outside solution and seemed to tick the boxes. We’ve been using this for a few days in a lot of downpours and were able to sit completely dry.

We like it a lot. For the dry camps we use the awning, when we know it’ll be cold or wet we use this. When in doubt, you can remove the fronts and the sides.

We Have a Vango Magra which we use when we are staying for extended periods at a campsite, and while its well laid out and roomy its a big heavy sod to cart about and a faf to put up & down ! 98% of the time we just use the Stitches & Steel large tarp which is fantastic, but in any low to reasonable wind its an absolute disaster and more hassle than its worth.

I have had my eye on the Vango Sunlight since it came out as I love the crossover idea between the Magra & S&S Tarp, but its pretty expensive for what it is.
@Tomver how easy do you find it to put up & take down ? And how do you find it compares to any other awnings you have had ?

I also have my eye on the Debus Air Sun Canopy which is basically a simplified version of the Sunlight.

I found it very easy and quick to set up. Zip it into the awning, a few pumps with the airpump, two lines to the ground and basically it’s done. Depending on the weather, you can ground it more.
I just took it down for the first time and it’s really that simple again. I find it a good addition to the wind out awning.

Thanks @Tomver your not helping me save money ! just need to decide if its worth spending the extra on the Vango over the Debus !
We've got the Debus and very happy with it. Held up well in a heavy storm over the weekend. I'm sure you'll be happy either way. Happy spending 👍

Don’t have an awning as just me and the lad go out in the van normally (and wife occasionally -but says it’s boys time) but grandkids need to be accommodated soon - and they are popping out quicker than I can accommodate -ha ha.

So will look at an awning at some stage - but from my tent camping days I remember that tents had a finite number of nights in UV / rain before the lost their replant properties - so make sure that ‘few nights’ use is really that - that said I bought a ex-display tent and served well for years.

@step curious to know what type of valve the Debus has ? is it a Boston like you get on inflatable furniture or the Mini Halkey Roberts type like Vango uses on their tents ?
and what pressure dose the tube inflate to ?

And the same question to @Tomver

That is the Debus valve. It isn't the same as what Vango use as I have one of those too. Not sure on the pressure, don't really pay attention, doesn't take much to pump up though.

Perfect ! Thanks @step

That's a Boston type valve, they are usually much lower pressure than the Halkey Roberts type valves (the adapter with the red washer) strange that Deebus don't specify a max working pressure to avoid over inflation. I know Vango recommend 7psi on most of their air awnings & tents.

I cheat and use a Dometic 'Gale' electric air pump, set to 9psi on our awnii, surprised me that the paddleboard takes 15! We have quite the collection of adaptors for the pump.

Yes, our Vango has that one with the red washer and I believe it indeed indicates to be within 6-7.
