Wheel arch lining ‘missing fastner’

Noticed missing fastners on both sides of wheel arch liners ‘Pic attached ‘ standard 8mm push rivet are to small ! Anyone any ideas what goes in there ?

I think they’re 9mm ones?

Not 9mm just tried it the holes about 10mm !

Did you ever manage to find the correct clip for here? I am trying to find them but no luck so far.

They are actually 8 mm. That’s a definite. See photo as I’ve just taken one of mine out. I can’t find them online with the usual suspects so I’d probably just order from VW or use a suitable ‘fits all 8 mm jobbie’. Here’s some pics for reference. HTH
