What's The View Like Back There?

We're downsizing from 2 cars to 1 T6 to do our bit and save the planet (and for me to go up a level after years of a T5 :D)

I've got in a bit of a tiz about where the rear seats should sit. Some go for all the way back, others a bit further in for storage behind. The front is captains seats which Ill put on swivel bases. But the kids will be on the back seats. As it's a Kombi currently they sit by the doors and windows. If I put the seats further back they'll be by the panels but this seems to be where most camper/day vans have them. Weird question but do they get much to look at (assuming I can pry them off their phones?) Im thinking that on long journeys and as our new daily driver it would be pretty crap if they can't look out of the windows?

I thought the rear seating can be retro fitted on rails? I'm not sure it's an easy job, but I'm sure that's what lots of owners have done in here.

Welcome to the forum, and well congratulations on seeing the light

With the middle row out the flexibility as a 5-seater is incredible.

For secure storage I position it at the point allowing the boot to be covered.
In general use it is positioned to allow the pram to be put in without folding.

Currently configured so the bench is directly under the rear most vents of the climatronic

You have glass all down the side, so seating position isn't a big deal I guess. @SaintJude has a Kombi and therefore no rear glass for the kids to see out of.
People like @StudleyGlass @Deaky @Skyliner33 @Fish have all done the rail fit, and might be able to help with more detail.

What are you planning to do, conversion wise? And what will the use be. If you wanted the seats further back with good visibility then fit some more windows. As said about you could get and fit rails so the seats will move. Then you get the choice.
