I have 275/40/20 at the moment.

Don’t want to change the 20s. However what is best tyres for comfort? Pot holes are bad round here. Can I have slight difference tyres on front and back?

Which wheels are they? Do you know the width?

Is the van a T28/T30/T32 ? 4Motion or FWD?

For comfort, look at Michelin tyres as the sidewalls are made of cheese.

Cars come from the factory with a staggered wheel and tyre set up. BMW's usually have wider on the rear, my RS3 had wider on the front.

With those suggested sizes, the rolling radius is almost identical.

So it’s safe to have slightly different tyres on front and rear?
Yes, but unless you have different wheel widths front and rear (staggered) they will look odd as the side walls will sit differently in relation to the face of the rim.

Have a play on will they fit and you'll see what I mean.

Another fan of the Goodyear f1s had 14,000 out of my fronts rears are still good! 265/40/20 all round on mine. Mines had suspension and coilovers done tho so that makes a massive difference to comfort
