What is this wire? Repair or not?

Hi all

I've got a load of wires/looms under my front double passenger seat that connect via different coloured connector blocks.
I've discovered damage to the green and yellow wire. I'd like to repair it, but before I cut, solder and heat shrink, does anyone know what this wire does? Im a little apprehensive about cutting it in case I cause any issues.
Circled in yellow are damaged wire and the black connector block (a bit blurred in pic) it feeds into.

Presumably youll be disconnecting the battery before working on the electrical system anyway, so a snip won't make any difference.

What @Sasquatch said👍 but if you’re apprehensive I’d just use some self amalgamating tape to wrap around the damaged insulation as an ‘easy option’. Obviously won’t be as good as a re-solder if the conductor cores are damaged but if it’s just the insulation absolutely no worries.
