What are you drinking tonight?

I know what you mean. They cater to the market willing to pay more, just for the name.
That said I have just opened an 18 year old MacAllan and it is very smooth.

I’m a sucker for anything matured in a Oloroso cask 😁
Agreed, i have just finished an 18yr old recently. I must say Oloroso cask is my favourite, you should try Glenallichie (especially their 25), very underrated distillery, also the Signatory series (By Edradour), never had a bad one yet.

By bizarre coincidence Glenallichie was the last distillery I visited (Feb this year) and Edradour was the first back in the 80s 🤣

I tried the 25, it was very good. They do a really good tasting there.

If you fancy an extravagant tasting go to the Fife Arms in Braemar and book the Whiskey room.

I spend way too much money on the dram than I should, I blame the Royal Mile Whiskies and their pesky emails 🙄🤣

You and me both man, i had an "experience" in Edinburgh some years back in the whisky cellar.. a day/nite almost to be remembered. I'll def get the Whisky room booked, sounds good.

Just had a nice Waitrose lemonade. Very lemony.
Clear or cloudy?
One of my team is retiring today and likes nothing more than a brown beer and a festival in her Peugeot camper.
I've got her some beer as part of her gifts and I am never buying beer in Waitrose again.
First of all you've got to navigate the many different offers - why can't they all be on "3 for £6" or "4 for £7" or "4 for the price of 5"? Instead you have to make sure you're getting them all on the same offer.
Then you get to the till (on the same day as a football match) and somebody says "oooh, is that you getting them in for the football....?"
Then you pay for them and you discover that none of the multibuy offers have been applied, so you have to go to the customer service desk, they have to look it all up on the app and manually work out your refund, all while saying....
"....is that you stocking up for the football then...?"
It's Wednesday night love, I've got to go to work in the morning and besides, I don't even like football.

Anyway what did I get?

St Austell Proper Job
Abbot Reserve (6%+)
Hogs Back Tongham Tea
Badger Blandford Fly
Badger something else I can't remember
Fuller's Honey Dew
Fuller's HSB

All of which I think I would have a lovely time consuming.
