yes, but its how you wash it afterwards that counts, after 5 years of trips like that, this was how it looked the day I sold it.

Proper engine and gearbox.
A mate has the 265PS version and it's pretty nippy.
Our Outback has three mechanical diffs AFAIK; manages to be a hoot on and and off road despite modest power.
