Is We Connect Plus worth paying the upgrade for. It's not overly clear what extras you get with the subscription.
Just interested to hear from anyone who has it and what extras they actually get

In my case it allows me to remotely lock and unlock the van, to track it's whereabouts, to remotely sound the horn and flash the lights, and receive remote notification when the alarm activates.

I believe on high spec models with navigation it does other stuff, but I dont know what.

The 60 quid is worth ot to me, whether it is to someone else I dknt know.

Thanks for the reply, just what i was after. In terms of tracking, i understand it wont be the same as something like the Meta Trak systems but can you see where the van is at any time with the We connect plus?

The price for a
one-year extension of We Connect Plus is £129 (inc. VAT), and a two-year extension is £219 (inc. VAT) in the UK. These are renewal prices for the service after the initial free contract period has ended.

• Two-year renewal: A two-year extension costs £219.
• Free initial period: When purchasing a new vehicle, you receive an initial contract period for We Connect Plus for free.
• Activation: To use the service, you must activate it online by setting up a Volkswagen ID and linking it to your vehicle.

I haven't got navigation so guessing some of the extras might not be included

It'll only indicdte where it was last parked up on the free version. It won't live track while in motion...or at least it didnt for me.

@step Aye,without nav you miss out on the the stuff @VWDAZ71 indicated, nearest fuel station, parking, dogging spot, etc.

Didn't even realise it did live tracking while it was active. It's still uploading my trips ... I dunno.

I think I'm only missing remote lock/unlock, remote horn/flashers, and remote alarm notification.

Yeah, not a huge amount of gizmos for a business pack owner, but for 18 pence a day I was happy to sign up.

For free I get fuel and range, AdBlu level, parked location, locked status, basic health check, driving data.
Before my subscription ran out I would also get alarm notifications, usually false, and door unlocked notifications, again usually false. Not worth it on the van.

On the eUp, the subscription gives me the ability to remotely control charging, and set timed charging. Pretty essential there.
