Volkswagen Connect, has anyone got the Data Plug?

Has anyone got one? And no I don't expect it to work on the Beetle!

Never heard of it so had a search on etka and epac etc and can't find it on VW system anywhere, reading the website it says visit dealer to get your free plug but when I downloaded the app the only dealers it suggests are car dealers and my local CV dealer is not on there so wondering if it's meant for cars only ?

I think Paul right i have all the connect options on my kombi but it does not do/have as much on it as the vw cars

There are folks on the Cali forum that have got them and seem to be able to use them.

Hi, yes these do work on T6 as I work at car dealership and records trips and driving characteristics, as well as storing locations and last position parked. This is a useful app and plugs into diagnostic port and will show a few other useful bits of info, but only free with passenger cars currently for this year and then around £25 to buy

Reception at my local dealer gave me one for free too, in exchange for name and registration that is.

Yet to try it properly but first impressions are that it is not life changing but definately intetesting... glad I didn't pay for it though

I walked into the local dealer last week and asked for one. Nobody had heard of it. The parts man came out and said he would look into it. Got a call a week later and got it for free. This was from the commercial dealer not the car side. Seems useful but wouldn't have paid for it
