VIN LOCK WIPING

I would like to pick your brains I have a 2016 t6 California which has been flooded the trailer module is U/S so need to replace can't get new from VW at present time but can a secondhand one be reprogrammed or are they VIN locked

Any will work, if it comes from a similar vehicle/model it wont need coding just plug and play
