Hi, VW T6 Multivan 2018 — I’m dealing with a high current draw after locking the car (150–130 mA). I approached it the usual way by pulling fuses. The cabin fuse SC5 (15A) causes the draw to drop to 60–20 mA, which is fine, and after reinstalling the fuse the draw stays normal. Unfortunately, after unlocking and locking again it goes back to 130 mA.
SC5 supplies the comfort/control unit and some lighting circuits (nothing in the car stays lit after locking). One sliding door lock wasn’t reporting “SAFE” and the LED on the door stayed on for a long time after locking, so I focused on that. But after pressing the lock button twice it’s OK and I now have SAFE on all doors, while the current draw is still high (the lock probably just needs lubrication).
Is there any measuring block in the CAN Gateway or in module 09 (Central Electronics) where I could see what is waking the system up and why it won’t go to sleep?
Everything that was retrofitted beyond the factory equipment has been disconnected. The original radio and Webasto are not causing it. The only coding changes I made were extra wiping and DRLs turning off when the handbrake is applied; otherwise the car is factory-equipped with almost everything.
Thanks a lot for any advice, and what to check next.
