so ,several times a year , i camp at the british superbikes , as well as world supers and moto gp.
anyway at donington this year , i went down pre season for the BSB testing, while i was there i saw this fellow motorcycle enthusiasts transport.
simply STUNNING.
now i dont take pictures of vehicles often and i walk past super cars and dont even look,i did take a pic of an F40 once, as a one off,for the benefit of my son really .
anyway im not into the "scene" BUT this must be recognisable,,,,it was just jaw dropping.
i thought its got to be 6 figures.
absolute respect for bringing it out of its heated garage ,,never mind even driving about on the roads .
it must be a well known van around the "scene"

When I was 12 id get excited by super cars. Now I could afford one (not easily by any stretch, but if I cut back on Pringles and Oasis... ) I look at them and wonder how the hell id fit, and how id manage to get out without a pair of beefy attendants.

But that sure is a lovely van.

I sat in a VW XL1 they have at the York dealership yesterday, just managed to get in (6'5" long legs) ... Ok once you're in but very hard to get out. Took a while to find the door release which is on the floor not in the door ...

The XL1 is a fascinating piece of kit. Woul,d love to have good nosey around one.

PS, also 6'5" - 35'5" inside leg makes everything froun trousers to supercars a chjallenge!

When the Lotus Elise first came out I went with the idea to test drive one. I didnt even bother as getting in wasnt easy, then no room when inside. Getting out was less than elegent. So I decided it wasnt for me.

Must be the most misleading title on the whole T6FORUM.
The first half was about motorcycling, then i digressed abit towards the end lol.
To be fair , the splitty was more memorable than the British superbikes pre testing.
Although Tommy bridewell did have a rather naughty off at the end of the start finish straight on day one, which finished his weekend .

I am not sure about that colour scheme, somebody had a tin of British Rail brown lying around.

I've set a reminder telling me never to ask for your advice when purchasing a CFCA T6 , or ANY vehicle for that matter 🤣
You do right. I’ve just had to look up CFCA T6. I know fek all about vans. Something I’m pretty relaxed about. I use mine for carting my V4S up and down to euro gigs.

Do I get all dewy eyed about a slammed split screen? Err, no. Soz… And it’s brown. Brown ffs… 🤣

Here 6'5" too :-), and at certain point found myself owner of 5 or 6 Fiat 500. The original twin one.
Using some T6 hindsight I could probably remove the front seat and sit directly on the rear bench. Other times. Nowadays I would somebody's help to get in. And firefighters to get out.

I mean , I don't care , its not my van , its not even my thing , I was just admiring the quality rebuild of a 70 years something van .thought it might have been a bit of interest to the forum . Other than " who's upgraded their cup holder "
What would make me cry was when I watched the ceo of ducati being interviewed on bloomberg years ago , about the premium price of his motorcycles over other manufacturers.
He admitted it was because they had 60 year old woman assembling wiring harnesses in between talking about what shape of pasta was for tea . ( and knitting ) AND obviously eating garibaldi biscuits 😋
He admitted the premium price, was not for a better product, but for their unproductive medieval manufacturing technique.
No lie
And NOW , even as biaggi said last week, , Aprillia are the only Italian manufacturers, everybody knows ducati is German
