VAT going to 5% on UK campsites

Yea it’s not necessarily designed to help us, but more to help them by reducing their tax bill.

I may be sceptical but how many of these sites will pass it on to their customers?

Unless they put the prices up before the VAT reduction starts, how can they not? It's not like they can change the customer the normal 20% and only pay the 5%

If they put their prices as “£x inc vat” they can just carry on charging the same and just pay less VAT. Or they can put their prices up at the same time, either way they’re free not to pass it on, and who can blame them, 15% means sod all to the holiday maker but collectively could keep the campsite in business
