Anyone fitted a VanX awning rail to there van, looking for a new one as the one i have under the pop top is too short.

Looks nice that....

I've got the vamoose style

Everything I've ever bought from that place has fell short of expectations and their customer service stinks!

yep the vamoose is another one I looked at, just think I prefer the VanX as the slot is a little thinner, they also have some B grade ones for £85 with just a few marks on them

I liked the 10mm gap underneath, for LED strip..... Now that interests me.

I saw the B Grade, but was collected only.

It's £30 delivery too.... So not a cheap rail.

Then £13 for the adhesive.

Your looking at £200 per rail..... Assuming your getting both sides done?

I can collect it and I get the adhesive for free plus a £5 off so I’m going to give it a go one side only for the time being I think

I like the looks of this. Looks more OEM.
Be interested to see it and how easy it was to fit. I like the no screw bit v

I had the Vamoose rail on my last van. I love Vamoose , they did my pop top, rear window, diesel heater and various other bits at the same time and Simon is a top bloke.

( shame they don't do their pop tops anymore as they are bomb proof )

BUT the Kador slot on a Vamoose feels just slightly too large. We had issues with high wind moving the awning out of the channel on more than one occasion.

I fitted a second Camperessentials awning rail in the gutter channel as a back up and we would end up using that most of the time.

The slot on this one looks better IMO.

I'm thinking.....

Replace my twin multi rails with these.... Then add in a warm white 10mm led strip on one or both sides., that's would look badass a night. And be very practical at the same time.

But I suppose it will need a wire drilling in through the rail to get a hidden 12v feed to the led strip section.

Then just need a WiFi switch, or running it from the cerbo switched outputs...(Or just fit a all 10mm hidden switch inside) - but I much prefer the WiFi remote switch idea.
