Van Won’t Start After Battery Disconnected

Hi all,
I’ve just fitted some bumper drls and disconnected the battery. I now try to start it and it won’t start. Engine turns over but won’t fire. If you release the key it carries on turning over until you fully switch it off.
Any ideas?
Many thanks
Tim.

Have you fitted a piggyback fuse?

Yes I’ve taken I 5 amp link from the one at the top of the fuse box as per the instructions.

Something wrong there.

Cable or sensor disconected,?

Loom disconnected.?

Fuse blown for sensors.?

A scan for code will give you direction.

If not retrace all your work and look for loose connections and check all the fuses with a voltmeter.

It was missing from the pack so I used one from Halfords! Do you think that could be the issue?

Lol.... @Deaky

You thinking . . . . Fuse put back in wrong slot?

Ok, it seems I had only put one fuse in the piggy back holder. Now has two and she fires up. The drls don’t light up though:-(
I’ll check the connection into the back of the headlamp cable.

Thanks for the help guys.

Nearly there... van runs fine. Only issue now is that only one side of the drls light up. To check that the drl is ok I’ve switched them over and they are both working but only on the drivers side. It has a good earth from the battery.

Have I missed anything??

Always check the obvious and simplest first......... before busting out the Oscilloscope.
