I have just this moment got off the phone to VWVC Norwich asking for my van to be recalled due to a common fuel pipe leak. Has anyone else been contacted?

Apparently it’s common with my spec??? I’m guessing the 204 engines.

Possibly the same which was done for my 150ps last July (built Nov-2015). A pipe at fuel pump.

My 17 plate 105 is going in soon to have it done. Wasn't recalled, just had a 'by the way' whilst you are having an oil change......

I ask, because I mentioned this particular recal when I had my s-quality Software recall done and was told my 204 was not affect and it was built in August.

Oh right, perhaps I’m just on the cusp with regards to the timeline of faulty vehicles.

Yea, It’s usfull to get a timeframe around these recalls for benefit of others asking the question.

It’s a joke, they can’t find my water leak, they changed the intercooler after having it for nearly 4 weeks between Nov and Dec then I only had it back about a week and the coolant light came back on. I called VW assist out after speaking to the dealer and was informed they were really busy and could I ring VW assist instead. So called VW assist out on the 28th of Dec which resulted in the van being taken to the dealer that day. Went in on the 2nd of Jan to get some tools out and put them in the hire Transit that I’ve got now. Had to call them on the 6th of Jan after hearing nothing to be told there is definitely a leak but we can’t find it.

Is there any black soot around the neck of the expansion tank?
I ask as I know of 2 T6s that have had oil coolers removed to replace a seal.

According to the DVSA the following VIN's have a concern of "fuel hoses may crack and leak" - "Some fuel hoses were not manufactured to specification and as a result could crack and leak fuel. The fuel could affect the drivability of the subject vehicle and possibly others using the roads"

WV1ZZZ7JZHX016304 to WV1ZZZ7JZHX017460 - Build Start 28/11/2016 - Build End 11/01/2017
WV3ZZZ7JZHX016326 to WV3ZZZ7JZHX016975 - Build Start 28/11/2016 - Build End 11/01/2017
WV1ZZZ7HZHH074156 to WV1ZZZ7HZHX019033 - Build Start 28/11/2016 - Build End 11/01/2017
WV2ZZZ7HZHH075713 to WV2ZZZ7HZHX017916 - Build Start 28/11/2016 - Build End 11/01/2017

Also if you use the gov.uk check MOT page here, at the bottom it has a section for "outstanding vehicle recalls" mine shows "Outstanding recall found" in red (had the pipe changed 29/12/18, it was a "by the way" thing when it went in for it's first oil change)
