Got an ex RAC T6, 2018 around 123k miles

Got pop top and U shape seating in back.

Had the engine compression tested and its failed, been told the engines nackered and needs replacing - obviously a massive cost.

Basically want to get rid of it now but obviously want to fetch as much for it as possible.

Just interested to know how everyone might go about it!

Thanks all

Put it up for sale on here and the Facebook groups at a realistic price, someone will want it.

Edit: no idea what a realistic price would be ...

Have you had a second opinion on engine?

What engine had it got in it?.

Bitutbo? What's the engine code?

Sorry, didn’t see replies. I think it’s 2.0ltr tdi but I can see exactly tomorrow. I don’t know what code, but it’s been to a ‘VW Specialist’ they changed fly wheel, EGR valve, exhaust sensors and all sorts. They eventually decided it was injectors, swapped them and it was still running bad. Then they didn’t know what to do and recommended a well known garage - they did some tests I’ll post what they sent me below. As you can tell I don’t know much about this sort of thing. -

We started with the compression test and have the following results:
1- 150psi
2- 180 psi
3-300 psi
4- inaccessible without a fair amount of deconstruction due to the fuel rail, but we have the answers we need above.

Unfortunately this is indeed low on compression. The haynes spec for this engine is 360-450 for good, and 275psi being the ideal minimum compression.
As you can see, 2 cylinders are well below this figure.

We have bore-scoped into cylinder 1 and it does look like there is some piston damage, not necessarily from contact, more likely melting. 2 does look somewhat OK.

The compressions being so low will be the reason for injectors 1 and 2 compensating so much.
