Hi guys
Looking for some advice, we purchased our T6 in march prior to us getting it the egr valve, cooler and pipe where replace in November last year.
The engine management light came on a couple of weeks ago and the codes relate to erg recirculation flow being insufficient the garage that originally did the work have looked at it and are saying that they think it’s clogged and the reason that it’s clogged so fast (12 months) is due to the fact that when we purchased the van it had been mapped (unknown to us at the time) the map was taken of by them about 4 months ago as we had the whole fuel system replaced so it’s been put back to standard and has been since that work.
I’m hoping for some advice, with egr valve only being a year old do you think that cleaning it would be a potential fix (they’ve said they can do this by dipping it in some new vibration bath type equipment that they’ve got) the other option is obviously replacing it but that would be over double the cost of the cleaning so I’m unsure what to do, keen to try and spend as little as possible as currently still recovering for the £8500 fuel system cost.
Thanks in advance
