Use my real window as dummy or ?

I put rear windows In a year or so ago while deciding on my build…

I recently decided on full windows and low level kitchen, so I ordered 2 matching rear 1/4 (camper glass dark).

Now I’m thinking high kitchen / driver side dummy…

I’ve searched everywhere to see if I can get away with using the window I have as a dummy without any tinkering... My van is pearl black after all … but I’m not sure if I’ll get away with it. And I can’t return it…

I see a few people here used standard glass on gray and blue and can still see through it in sunlight.

I don’t want to paint or vinyl the van or glass. And it seems pointless to fit the window and box it up. Guess I’d sooner suck it up and order a blackout for £60 and sell the one I have at a loss.

But it would be pretty great if I could just use the one I have.

Anyone got any wisdom please?

Our van is Oryx White and we have a standard window as a dummy on the drivers side, the converter put a piece of black vinyl wrap on the van before he fitted the dummy window. Still going strong after 9 years. What's your objection to using wrap on the van behind the glass?

@Salty Spuds Thanks for the reply. Presume they use matte vinyl?

I’m not keen to use vinyl incase it fails due to heat or moisture. Also wondered if condensation on the rear of the glass might be visible after washing etc if it gets up the breather gaps.
