I’m looking to put a USB outlet into each of the B Pillars (twin slider Kombi). Before i take panels off does anyone know if there is enough room to put them where I want to or does the seatbelt get in the way, especially on they driver side?

You should be fine putting them there. Mine are just about an inch higher than that and no problems with clashes behind.

Mines here. From memory I think the plastic higher up was a bit narrow but you can pop the trim off quite easily

Thanks guys,
I was reasonably sure the passenger side would be OK, it was the drivers side I was more worried about. I probably won’t get to it for a week or two so I’ll report back once I’ve done it

How was the result in the end? I also have twin sliding doors, I also would like to place a socket there and I’m not sure about driver/passenger side (and it’s more confusing being a left hand wheel drive...

Yep, all installed with no dramas. A couple of pictures in the post below:

A general tip if you are planning to sleep in your van; make sure there are no lit LEDs for equipment running overnight or have a cover for them.
It’s a PITA trying to sleep with the van lit up like a Christmas tree.

Hi I have mount some usb sockets in the b pillars and can anyone advise were the closest switch live is to tap into as only want them on when van is started .

Is there any how-to's on how to wire these in? an help appreciated.
Generally people will take a power feed from under the passenger seat, under the carpet and up into the B pillar area.

Keep in mind that these are all permanent live in most vans, so shouldn't have unstitched USB sockets on as they have a parasitic load.

A good way to get advice is to start your own thread with some pictures of your van and say what you want to do.

As above (post #10) and you can use a relay to switch the power on and off with the ignition if you want it to be isolated with the engine off.
Have a look through the How I done it thread courtesy of @Dellmassive and maybe search for "ignition live" for more info on ignition switched circuits.

Mod note: sorry folks was tidying up and fat fingered delete thread instead of post unsure.png
Apologies for any notification explosion.
