USB-C ports

hi, I have just bought a 21 plate high line T6 and it took a lot of research and hard work, not to mention the money. Now I am looking at the minor details. It only seems to have 2 USB-C ports by the cup holder - no normal square USB ports. Is this standard? Do I just have to get a new lead for the iPhone or change the module? What have others done? Many thanks.

I have use a USB A adaptor with plugs into the cigarette lighter socket for devices that require that.

If you want to use your i-phone for carplay though you will need to use the USB C sockets as thaey are wired to the infotainment system

This is standard now. You could buy a new lead for your phone, usb-c to lightning connector, or buy an adapter cable which would be usb-c to usb-a and then use your existing cable. I’d recommend the first option though and you can just leave it in your van. Next time you upgrade your phone it will likely be usb-c both ends anyway.

Yep, Mrs has just got a new iPhone 16 and it came with a usb-c to usb-c lead and no charger plug

You can buy little A to C adaptors as well.
