I've ordered some 20" wheels for my T32 and supposed to be confirming the order and what tyres I want first thing in the morning!

I was going to go with 275/40/20's as they are load rated at 106 which I need obviously. The place I'm getting them from (lkperformance) tell me that they will definitely fit fine without any rubbing on my van, which has been lowed 50mm. But now I'm reading that I will need to modify the arches somewhat to get them not to rub. That is something I really don't want to have to do.

What's the score? Am I making a mistake? I need something to fill the massive void in my arches running the 18's I have on now.

Cheers!

Ah ok, I'll take a look on that site....thanks for the info!!

Is there any point in going to 10" or even 10.5" on the back? Would it purely be a cosmetic thing?

Cheers

You say that as though putting 18", 19" or 20" wheels on is something other than a cosmetic thing?

Goes without saying....but I was just wondering if there was also a more practical reason for going larger on the back.....

I suspect on hard lock and under load you will get rub on the inner front plastic arch liner - nothing a heat gun won't sort. Should need nothing more, unless you want to drop more.

Cheers for all your help guys! I've gone for the 20's.....

5x120 20x8.5J ET45 with 275x40x20 106 XL tyres! Will feed back once fitted!

@8balladdict What wheels have you gone with? I'm looking at 20s for my T32 and also a tad concerned about rubbing issues...have you gone 275/40/20 all round on the tyres?

Ok, so I've got my 20's fitted with 275/40/20
106 XL tyres, H&R springs lowered 50mm and guess what......no rubbing what so ever!! :somersault:

Didn't fill the arches like I though they would though, still sitting pretty high but very happy with them for the time being. May look at other lowering options one day but going to concentrate on the interior now.

Only problem with the bigger wheels.....this is my clearance getting under the arch that leads to my house and garage!! o_O

You can't even get a finger in that gap! Less than 10mm for sure! Bit close that!!

Anyway, I'll get some better pics over the weekend but.....

There she is! :inlove:
