Hoping to relieve some SB charging anxiety before a trip to France. Thinking of getting an Ablemail AMT12-2. Is it really as simple as connecting the 3 wires to my DC-DC and changing the setting? Thanks, Pete

If you’re happy with the factory setting, mode 4, it’s even simpler than that.

Yep, super simple, just the 3 wires. Positive from SB, positive to LB and a neg. You can leave it in default setting 4 no problem, it just kicks in a bit earlier if you have a lithium LB.

Hmmm, not as straight forward as I’d hoped having looked at my Dc-Dc (eco-worthy). I’ve found the input/output/ground but all hard wired to the charger. Assuming crimps would need removing and wiring the Ablemail in. Are there any simple/safe connection blocks I could use, or am I completely wrong and leave it to a pro?!

This is not having a dig at you, but if cutting out a crimp connector and replacing with a new crimp connector (with a 3rd cable) is too much for you then I'd very much suggest a 'pro'!!!

Although what you propose is incredibly simple to do.

But for your safety (as you're messing about with elecky things!) if you're not 100% confident then pay someone who is to do it.
