Trailer socket-wire colours

Hi. Does anyone have the wire colors and where they should be in the trailer socket.
I can't find any chart that matches the colors of the wires on my T6, 2018.
The chart that seems to be most accurate is in the picture I'm attaching.
I have three used wires, which are for ground, and then I have a red one that is for permanent positive. I also have a yellow one, but I can't quite get the combination of colors on the other wires to match.tilhenger farger 2.webp

Hi.
This is the diagram I used recently to check the 13 pin socket on the back of my Pick Up (my T6 only has 7 pin wiring).
Is this better as it seems a little different?

HI.Hi and thanks for your answer. These are the colors I also often find when I search. But as you can see they don't match the wire colors I have on the car.IMG_20250910_161848647.webp

Lets start at the beginning.

Whats the story?
How have you ended up with this?
New van?
Always been like this?
Did you fit the loom?
Is it a full loom or has the van got trailer prep?

The fact that the ends have been taped doesn't fill me with confidence.

Could you just test each of the wires with a multimeter to see what function they correspond to?

That maypole diagram shows pin 2 as a rear lamp but it should be fog lamps. (?)

Once you have sorted the wiring designation, a good tip I found is to fit a pre-wired socket which comes with a loom. This way you don't have the squeeze to get all of the wiring into the socket. Inevitably one of the 13 wires will end up loose or too short to fit properly and you will get faults a year or two down the line.

The whole story is easy to explain. I've had the car for a long time and the power to the trailer connector has worked just fine. But then the connector was broken and I had to replace it. I took it for granted that there were standard colors on the wires in the car and didn't bother to note which pin they went to. But then when I was about to start putting the new one on I quickly saw that it wasn't. I've looked at the tape on the ends to make sure there wasn't a short circuit while I wait to figure this out.
