Top Speed Restricted?

Hi All, I think my t6.1 might be restricted. Drives great, pulls well, gets up to speed no bother but physically will not exceed 73mph. I can accelerate up a long bridge to that speed no problem, but it will not go past that going down the other side.
I have a Carista but can’t see anything in there….
Any ideas? It was some sort of fleet vehicle.

Also, when looking in Carista, foot flat to the floor at 73 it shows engine power is nowhere near maxed out at 74%

There are velocity limitations set which I can see using VCDS eg

There may be others especially if it was an ex RAC van etc.

ps - I haven't tried going faster than 500km/h to see if it works :)

What was the van in its previous life?

In engine, adaptions, individually adjustable speed limit, check the stored value in there. If static speed limit has been set at all, there is no way to adjust this, can be remapped to remove but other than that it's a replacement ECU. Most speed limitations thankfully are not set that way.
Give me a shout if you need any help mate 👍

Can I check that with the Carista? Or would it need some different type of machine? Sorry for the ignorance, I’m new to all this. Can’t believe how a diesel van is so complicated 🤣

Thank you, found it. I just need to find someone with that software then i guess.
There is a list (and on the membership map when it starts working again) of VCDS users, who are willing to assist.
