Tips needed. Outdoor revolution movelite t4e...

Does anyone have any tips for using a outdoor revolution movelite t4e? We've just got back from our 3rd long weekend and we're just not getting on.

I've watched the attwools video and find attaching the awning first quite awkward with the figure 8 pieces pushing out the other end (I've trapped one in the tailgate and snapped it). I can put it up like a stand alone tent but lining the van up is a faff. Might try just strapping it to the roof bars next trip.

Thanks in advance

try what we do. . .

blow the main tent up and peg it down, so its free standing. ( with the van out the way)

then just back the van up to suit. ( line it up parrallel with the tent, and square at the back, then try lifting the tunel section to see how close you are)

it might take 4 or 5 trys to get the van where you need it. . . but much easier than trying to do it when attached to the van.

side tip :

we use a king pole to push up the saggy tunnel roof. . . with a mushroom on top to be king to the material.. . . works great and been doing it for years.

Have you got...
(a) awning rail stops? These stop the Kador strip sliding out of the awning rail.
(b) Kador clamps? These clamp together the Kador strip and the awning beading, thus keep the figure-of-8 in place.

I certainly found it easier putting the tent up first. Suppose practice make perfect lining the van up
