CXGA engine 79k
Issue started last year with hot ambient temps. Engine would run on after ignition off for a few secs.
Checked throttle body and it was clean, looked like someone had been in there before me.
ĎTC showing throttle body stuck open.
Cleared DTC
Once outside temps cooled no issues.
All good until last week and same issue, same DTC.
Now it’s cooler this week, all running fine.
Obviously can’t tell if it’s mechanical or electrical.
So decided to take the plunge and find out one way or another.
Ordered a Conti VDO unit as per OEM, and a new inlet hose.
States on the documentation on Continental website that ‘Control unit/software must be trained/updated’
