Seen loads of T7’s on the road now. Some have aftermarket bumpers, lowering springs etc.
Like all previous models when they come out which everyone hates at 1st they are growing on me.
Would love to have a crystal ball and know the future for our beloved diesel engines.
Do I keep my van or go for a 2.5l petrol hybrid Sportline???

I have it on good authority from an industry insider, that the Transporter/Transit collaboration will end in 18 months/2 years. The current arrangement is a temporary stopgap similar to the Crafter/Sprinter catastrophe. I’m hanging on to my T6.

Caveat, this is only information received in good faith, could be a load of bolleaux

VW spent a lot of money dicking with the suspension, steering ratios, styling, etc, for a stopgap. Mind you, sound product planning has been out to lunch at Volkswagen AG for some time now.

I think there were question marks over being able to cost effectively adapt the vehicle structure to meet forthcoming collision standards, and the engine for looming emissions standards, stuff like that. There comes a point where, as good as something may be, it's simply had its time.
