Not sure if you have a passenger swivel seat?, having one fitted works really well with a u shape layout.
once seat is swivelled, you can pull the seat forward and then put your feet up on the u shape layout to lounge.
Also having a ovano swivel table by the door, you can both sit either side of it, great for having a semi alfresco breakfast with the side door open.

Thanks and yes I was planning that for the passenger seat, and I think I should be able to install it myself. But I read so much about rattling and how much it raises the seat and other stuff. And there are so many brands. Some where you have to cut away bits of the surrounding plastic too.

Is there a go to choice ?

Sure someone will recommend a swivel base, our van had a factory one fitted luckily, the swivel seat base could be added at any time, so you could take your time with that, you might find a used one for sale.
I don’t want to add extra costs to your build now, but try to leave space for fitting a diesel heater in the future, either under a front seat or under the van with a vent space

Thanks again, yes I had been thinking about a diesel heater. At least that can be retro fitted. Im just trying to get hold of somebody @ Bognor to find out whats behind the carpeting. It feels like a thin ply because its hard when knocking it, with a slight flex.

Just to update Bognor confirm its a 2 or 3mm ply behind the carpeting. And that each panel is screwed in place, so I guess it could be possible to retrofit wiring.

I did the research and went for the Sportscraft swivels and they’ve been brill. If you’re just doing the passenger single it’ll be straightforward as no handbrake to contend with.

The seat base plastic cover on the back will need trimming and there are two versions of the swivel - with or without leisure battery.

If the seat is height adjustable you have to pump it up before turning around.

It is already lowered so no height issue compared to the drivers seat and a very useful ( if somewhat basic ) safe for valuables

I have one fitted in my current build and can confirm there are no rattles.

Seat release lever is a tad awkward but otherwise a great bit of kit for silly money. If this bugs you then spend a bit more on the RIB version

Don't know, sorry. The Clearcut one has a build in safe at the back so doesn't require any panel.

Its only 10 mins with a hacksaw. I have a spare you can have to butcher and save your original ;-)
