Think we gonna need a bigger boat

This thread has got us thinking about clutter!

We have our kit stored at home in really useful boxes, so its easy to grab and load, then when we get to site we move most of it into a Coleman kitchen unit in the awning.

We’re now looking to pre-load the kitchen unit! I might need to commandeer sons Dewalt Pack Out boxes he doesnt know he’s getting for his birthday!

I also happened to mention door stores so SWMBO wants one of those next! (Is there one available for the fixed side of a van - I only seem to find them for twin sliders)

Perhaps you remember from science lessons at school that a gas always takes up all available space- exactly what happened with our MAN upgrade. So our « stuff » is that gas - we have coffee machine, bread maker ( did have a microwave but that was a step too far) and all manner of things that come under the « might be useful »category. These now get stuffed in the garage area without the rigour we had with the T6 smaller space. Having said that bigger is infinitely better IMO

Funny. My actual garage used to house a mid sized car, but since that was replaced with a van which very definitely would not fit in, it's instead gradually been filled with camping gear and other unidentified "gasses", so there's no chance of ever getting a car in there again ;)

Just for balance, I would like a bigger van, preferably a crafter/MANtge, but Mrs Spuds says no, she likes the bijou t6. We don’t have an awning, been there, done that and as @DXX says, they are the work of the devil.
We spend around 100+ nights/year in the van, a month skiing (and living) in the van in January, currently 7 weeks into a tour of Spain & France, Scotland in September.
Space is a state of mind, you can only occupy so much space at any given time, the rest of the time it’s just costing money.

Two people living in a small van must be the best compatibility test there is.

Been together since we were 17, currently 62 and counting. I keep saying that I could have murdered her when we first met and I’d be out now, a free man

My problem is parking so although I would love a MAN TGE/Crafter I dont have the space, or the budget if im honest. Unless I bought a real shonky example. Hence we will probably end up going the Ducato/Boxer/Relay route in 5.4m. They seem capable of big miles it seems.

But lets enjoy the Transporter for a bit longer first.
