Hi guys can't wait to start the conversion now its been a long time coming, vans arrived 80% of things have been ordered ready to start with the sound deadn & insulation over the next week ( broken shoulder permitting). I went for an evo design kitchen but I'm not contemplating my choice of fridge I went for the Webasto 49 12v only has anyone had experience with these ? kinda thinking I should of got a dual power fridge.

the vans come straight from austops so it's stripped back & roof installed already which was a huge bonus for me.

anyhow, onto the conversion I'll post pictures along the way.

thanks, sam20210625_205708.jpgIMG_20210625_212219_623.jpg

Congratulations - I will follow your build for inspiration as mine arrives in November.

so working over the last 2 days thought I'd check in, using dodo matt Hex pretty easy application, cut & stick if any one has been dubious to do this don't be. just save yourself a spare day/2 if doing the cab also. I also purchased some 9mm ply from bnq and cut/measured all the battens for the floor.

day 2 I'd planned to put in thermoliner but as of yet its not been delivered I have cut out & applied 2 windows, I went with a 70mm holesaw for corners & reciprocating saw cutting for the inside leaning on the internal lip as a guide, was nerve racking at first but after the first cut it went pretty smooth, the usually masking tape & covers for external.paint and.dust sheet for front cab. I did the 2 today took around 5 hours, mainky.due to.doubke triple checking everything got 3 more tommorow & the dreaded leak check, I mistakenly ordered the fully pack from just kampers which didn't include the rear black.so looks like I'll need to order that after.20210626_201729.jpg

finished the final windows, found the trim from Just kamoers pretty long giving minimal space to apply primer, hopefully it's okay tommorow first 2 went fine after wet test just need to motorway test in the wet .... insulation arriving tommorow onto the next job ....

Windows are holding up, new tyres on and treated the original wheels to a satin finish, final decision is what colour to wrap the bottom half, waiting for delivery of everything inside so work on the outside will continue, new side bars & front splitter this week !! but its coming together now
