The extraordinary adventures of Eric Van Dynamite

Thanks for the assurance.
What sort of prices are the pads and disks?
How’s that for service? A British company selling a quality product & you have a direct line to the head honcho. What’s not to like?

P.s I have absolutely no connection to Nutexa, I’d never heard of them until I joined on here. I have dealt with them, purchased products off them & am a happy customer.

Well, here he is, Eric 2.0.

I can’t stop smiling. BMVS have done an amazing job!!!! Huge shout out to Oli, Paul, Simon, Adam and the rest of the team.
  • SoLow Air Ride + with SoLoW management, twin compressors and tank with height sensors and self levelling etc.
  • Navis customer split rims based on the GP7 in Bronze.
  • THQ side bars.
  • Full gloss black front end.
  • And had a DSG service and swivel seat base removed whilst he was there.

Tonight’s little job - I fit some Rimblades.

I was so paranoid about kerbing the wheels they needed something.
I’m actually really happy with them! Easy to fit, look good against the bronze and blend in with the tyres. Barely noticeable unless you know what you’re looking for. Should hopefully provide a little peace of mind. But of a shame the stretched rears aren’t as obvious but better than the alternative!

Been a busy week at Bognor HQ since the van went back in on 5/7.

We now have a Storm pop top with solar, Glidemotion V2 bed on rails and suede package including a sliding cab cover.

I’m dropping the kitchen off which I’ve been assembling at home and Paul will fit it alongside the electrics and a few other bits.

Can’t wait to get it back now but things are really starting to take shape.

Images can be deceptive but scraping wheels on curbs appear to be the least concern, these tyres look very overstretched and a risk!

Dropped a hired Transit full of goodies off at BMVS yesterday for the team to move on to. Built the Evo Design kitchen last week in my lounge. Pretty impressed with the design and build. Took over a bunch of Victron bits and a couple of Ovano tables as well as a bunch of other bits. Starting to really come together now.

Sorry for the delay - we were having too much fun in a field!!!

New exterior includes a Storm poptop with a 200w solar panel, Maxton rear diffuser, e-Grille, colour coded upper and lower grille trims…

But inside is where the big changes have taken place.

Glidemotion V2 rail bed, Evo Design twin slider kitchen, Victron 240, dc-dc, solar and Cerbo system, dimmable mood lighting in the poptop and a few other bits.

Still to come - sink and tap, Nebula projector setup and VanShades.

Absolutely thrilled with how it has come out and all of the team at Bognor have been phenomenal throughout.

And we’re down in Rye for the weekend on our dry run. All good so far.

It’s been a busy summer of camping, adventures and a few modifications. Thought I’d give everyone an update.

Cut out a space for our small sink and tap. Managed to plumb and wire it all this weekend so all set for morning cuppas and late night teeth brushing. Replaced two kitchen panels which had to be recut and replaced to accommodate the THQ fridge hinges and replaced the footwell and overhead bulbs whilst I was at it.

Got some yellow fog tints and a SoLow sunstrip. Need to get out and take some proper photos. And got a private plate for my 40th so couldn’t resist some pressed metal plates, short on the rear obviously.

Added a couple of Stitches and Steel pouches to store glasses and phones in the night. Grabbed a window screen cover whilst I was at it - no more suction pads!

And will grab some better photos when we are out next but for a pop top safety net after the lad fell out on night 3!! And a Nebula protector and screen for late night fun.

Next on the list…
Chameleon windscreen
Vanshades carpeted to match
And thinking about a Forge intake with an engine and battery cover painted body colour to make a bit more of the TSI engine bay.
