Tent told me off

Have to say I am with "Karen" on this one. Unless its an event, where people are partying on (within reason), any unnecessary noise is an infringement on other campers, whatever shelter they choose to use. Whatever time of day. Why can't people use headphones? Why do others have to "share" it?

Rule 1 applies here.

Does remind me of a tour of Zimbabwe in the 90's. Every campsite we went to the same Land-rover turned up with Tintin characters painted down the side and Beautiful South "I love you from the bottom of my pencil case" playing on repeat. Soon grew old.

I think it is just simply down to courtesy and common sense on both sides or each party. As has been said 9.30pm onwards be considerate, after midnight farting only. The reason we used to use campsites was to be outdoors and share the 'space' in all its splendour and glory..the last 10 years has seen an unreasonable 'vogue' in camping or whatever in which some folks set off to embrace the outdoors and it just doesn't work for them, totally alien environment for them and so why do it ?...would have been given the 'get tae' from me...I actually enjoy listened to others settling down and sharing the space as we all drift off and as long as it isn't DUB or Anthrax up max in volume... then live and let live.

I’d rather spend a night in Wormwood Scrubs than a UK campsite; who’s got the best awning, chairs, matching dogs………
Luckily my ‘tent’ has 4 wheels and I can stop anywhere.

Some of the Spanish sites are worse than the UK ones with the German street parties each night .
Thankfully not everyone is towing a quad bike this year just to pop to mercadano on.
