T6 to T6.1 sliding door

Due to some damage I am having to swap my sliding door ( passenger side) . I have a T6.1 but was wondering if a T6 door would be a straight swap, or would fit with a bit of 'fettling' thanks

The locking mechanism and electrics are quite different between 6 and 6.1

I've already done the same and would love to know if you managed to get things all working. The door I've put on only has six connectors whereas the door I took off has eight connectors. I can't get it to work at the moment so I'm thinking of removing all the lock mechanism from the old door which is the t 6.1 and popping it into the new one but some of the holes are in different positions.

You would need to swap over all the guts and wiring etc as its a completely different setup

Not particularly proud of it, but it's working.
No choice really as I couldn't
a) get the van to recognise door closed unless I twisted two wires together, (that's worked for the first 10 months but for some reason the handle stopped working so I had to have a play) or
b) be locked out unlocked by the central locking.
The sliding door now locks and unlocks with central locking as the original door did.
Needed to drill two holes for the lock, and for now I've cable tied the front unlock in place as my original van didn't have a handle with it being a startline builders van with bulkhead and there aren't the correct holes to fasten to.
