Need to be careful with that one. If the seller has formatted it then they may have removed the VW files that the HU needs to see to verify it's genuine.
You should only ever delete the map data then add the new maps.
I dont sell them i just update them for VIP members on an exchange basis, so if you were a VIP member without an exchange card i would do it for the cost of a replacement card from ebay - say £15 ?
Rightyo - I pick the van up late next week or early the following so will confirm for sure that it doesn’t have the disc (dealer didn’t think it did but might be hidden in service docs?). If not I’ll upgrade to VIP and take you up on that - much appreciated
