T6 revs limited.

Hi peeps, been doing a bit of work on the van at the weekend, seats out fitted a new carpet all went well.took it out for a drive yesterday felt a bit slow off the mark but drove ok.just not as quick. Anyhow today I realised it wouldn't rev above 2500rpm, thought the new carpet was the issue but no. Pedal went to the floor. No warning lights etc on the dash. Checked with code reader nothing there. Ad blue was getting low so topped that up ,now reading 6500miles due an oil change in a few days. Apart from that everything normal. Any ideas.

When you say it won't rev over 2500, is that in gear moving or is it stationary?
It is common for vehicles to be limited to around 2500 revs when stationary, to protect the engine.

Yes my caddy wouldn’t rev above 2500 when stationary

Thats normal, 2500 is the max when stationary

They break quickly enough without flooring it in neutral.
