Hi folks,
Kindly ask to whoever faced/knows this issue to suggest me to move on.

Here is a 2019 t6 with 140000 km mainly on higway

  1. End December: I had the 1st Red alert about poor coolant level . Refilled with 0.3l
  2. Ten days later ( and 300 km after) 2nd alert ---> go to a garage
  3. They drove for a while to have the hot engine and after their check on car lift they didn't see any leakage. they excluded timing belt ( no trace around) and they are skeptical about EGR in this case because they said that a pressure test has been performed. So far no mayo, oil is clear , no white smokes
  4. They added coolant and marked the level of it on the tank( which is well over the max line) and give me the car back to still use it and verify it
  5. After 100 km , at cold engine, I saw level drop about 1 centimeter: Garage said me to still use it without the heater to exclude something more
Is there any chance pressure test didn't identify properly? They said in case of another dropping evidence they will perform a test on colored exhaust gas ( if i understood well :-) )
Based on your experience what kind of test may i suggest them ?

something useful:
Since September sometimes happens the vehicle refuses to start at the first attempt and sometimes happen the orange glow plug gave me an alert, especially if i turn on without five second of pre-heating

Many thanks!!

it's good point. not yet.

I checked here and there but it looks like the cooler will be provided with EGR valve packaging only and not stand alone, unless I take it as refurbished one.

There are several options (and different prices) in the market to buy the EGR with cooler... I would avoid to pay 3x with the VW genuine OEM if the item is equal to the original in quality and performance.

So your start point idea is still the replace of EGR+cooler package with a new one?

do you suggest to buy the EGR valve+ cooler package , regardless the check result, but based on the face I drove it for 140000 km and never changed the EGR&cooler , and I faced some episodes of start failures turning on the engine ?
if yes May I select something from the market with same OEM, without any risk, or It's mandatory to buy the genuine one to prevent further issues?

Amazon stock and sell (which counts for something IMO) the VALEO 700435 EGR Valve which is an OEM manufacturer and you have 30 days to return as unused if the issue isn't the EGR.
I personally wouldn't swap it as a preventative measure, only if broken, but others would so it's difficult to make that decision for you.

The egr & cooler is purchased as one unit...

It's a common part that needs replacing on most of the T6 engine s, due to either leaking coolant... Or blocking up.

I've had it done twice on my work been now.

They are teddy's that can be done by the garage.

Egr flow test for blocking.

Cooling system pressure test for leak inside egr

Visual inspection on egr for stigma of pink coolant

A common job on the T6.

does it work for t6 150cv 2019? i'm asking because the amazon configurator says it is not ok for my car

The egr is very specific to each engine type and year... Or it will not fit.

Maybe go at VW and get a quote for the part? Or take to a local VW independent gauge too test and replace?

for t6 diesel 150 cv 2019 :
I Know EGR 04L131512T is the old one and 04L131512cf is the latest version but i heard it's equal ...
