T6 LED Intermittent Flashing

Hi all - my NS LED headlight has an intermittent fault which causes it to flash - there seemed to be a weird connecting between accelerating which would cause it to flash more (voltage related under load?). Originally post-wash or rainy days I'd see a small band of condensation across the bottom of the unit so went and bought a new bare unit (no modules/drivers) thinking it could be condensation related, moved everything over from the orignial unit but same thing happens. Could this condensation from the original unit crept up wires or into drivers to cause an earth/voltage problem? DLR all working fine btw - just the two main LED light effected. Any thoughts appreciated as I'm £700 deep and not solved the problem. Garage originally said VW only sell a whole new unit with modules for £1,700 so was trying to avoid this with original strategy.
