Vw T6 Transporter Headlights Caravelle Shuttle | eBay
I have read that the LED bulbs look brighter but arent actually better at projecting the light than the decent halogen bulbs. its down to the reflector/projector.has anyone put Led's in the dip beams, if so which ones
Have a look at the Headlight Revolution channel on YouTube. They’ve tested a huge amount of different halogen, Xenon and LED lamps and while many of the beam patterns are a bit dodgy, they are getting better, and some of the LEDs are getting more than double the light output of OE halogensI have read that the LED bulbs look brighter but arent actually better at projecting the light than the decent halogen bulbs. its down to the reflector/projector.
You wont get OE quality light projection using the lights designed for halogens.
Just my advice, I havnt fitted LED dipped bulbs, only decent Phillips extreme halogen so nothing to compare.
Do a Google search for "Auto Express H7 test" they measure the light at various distances using scientific testing things!!
I did try some hid in a Sharan with H7s. The beam was very dodgy, no flat with kick at all just round like a torch!!Have a look at the Headlight Revolution channel on YouTube. I’ve never tried aftermarket HIDs, I guess the problem is getting the projector design right. I’m quite keen to try LED lamps though, I might experiment a bit if I do get round to buying some H7 lightsI did try some hid in a Sharan with H7s. Just another thought also @Richard Wood the problem with LEDs and the DAB reception on the T6.
